Zachary Sansone
Zachary Sansone was born in Brooklyn, New York.  In 1924, together with his family, he moved to Napoli, Italy.  He followed a career in law.  After law school, he was inducted into the Italian Army as a First Lieutenant.  After the war, he pursued his studies in law and passed the bar.  He worked as a lawyer and practiced law at the Court of Appeals in Naples.  In 1946 through 1948, he became Mayor of the town of San Antonio in Napoli.  In January of 1949, he returned to New York for a visit and met Mary Crisalli.  They were married in June of 1949.  He worked as a checker and clerk at the waterfront for over 20 years.  In 1970, he organized and directed the Mott Street Senior Center in Manhattan. After retirement, he dedicated all of his time to the services of CIAO, CURE and the Ralph J. Sansone Foundation.  He is still happily married to Mary, his companion of 52 years.
