Father / Dr. Lydio F. Tomasi
Lydio F. Tomasi is presently the Pastor of the Church of St. Joseph in Chinatown, Lower Manhattan. He is the former Director of the Center for Migration Studies of New York, the Editor of Migration World Magazine andthe Editor of the International Migration Review. He licentiates in Philosophy and Theology from the pontifical Gregorian University in Rome and earned his Ph.D. in sociaology from New York University.
He is the author of many articles and essays on international migration. His books include: The Ethnic Factor in the Future of Inequality; The Italiam American Family; The Italians in aMaerican: The Progressive View, 1891-1914; The Italian Immigrant Woman in North America (with B.B. Caroli and R.F. Harvey) and Italian Americans: New Perspectives in Italian Immigration and Ethnicity. He is also the editor of 17 volumes, In Defense of the Alien.
