Ari Kagan
Ari Kagan was born in the city of Minsk (currently Belarus) in 1967. In 1988 graduated from Journalism Department of Lvov military college (currently Ukraine). He later worked as a reporter in many Soviet military and civic newspapers. Kagan came to America with his family in 1993. Married, has son Yakov (15) and daughter Victoria (3).

Graduated in 1999 from Baruch College (Business Administration) with honors. Worked as a reporter in many local Russian-language publications. Currently is a Senior Editor and Marketing Director of Vecherniy New York weekly newspaper. Also is a host of the popular weekly TV show “Here In America” on Russian Television Network of America.

Member of the boards at The American Brotherhood for Disabled People, The United Association of East European Jewry, Holocaust Memorial Committee (Brooklyn), Russian Outreach Committee at Manhattan Beach Jewish Center. Ari Kagan was an active member of the Board of Independent Press Association of New York. For the last 14 years Kagan worked hard as a volunteer to help many seniors, tenants, war veterans, disabled people, underprivileged children, nursing homes residents, immigrants. For his journalistic achievements and community involvement Ari Kagan received numerous awards from NYS Assembly, NYC Council, IPA-NY, political clubs, Jewish organizations and civic groups.
